The Palace of Holyrood House

By Royal appointment (sort of!) The Royal Collection Trust (RCT) planned to refurbish and restore various buildings within the grounds of the Palace of Holyrood House. They needed to ensure there would be minimum disruption and inconvenience to the general public and the Royal Family when in residence.

RCT approached us to commission designs for the hoarding that would be erected around the Abbey Strand building. The hoarding was to outline the history of the building and why they were refurbishing it (to be in place for minimum of 12 months). The Learning and Visitor Centre was also being refurbished. While the work is ongoing, a temporary Learning and Visitor Centre has been set up within portacabins within the Palace courtyard.  Our brief was to make them less conspicuous to any visitors and the Queen. RCT are delighted and we await our invitation to afternoon tea with the Queen with baited breath….

Never one to blow our own trumpets, here’s a link to the article that BBC Scotland ran online.
